Banh Soi Nuoc- Sweet Mung Bean Filled Glutinous Rice Ball in Sweet Ginger Broth and Coconut Milk

  

I won't lie- this is not for the novice to make. Time, patience, and determination are required to undertake this undeniably laborious recipe. However, this being said, this is a great recipe to make together with a group of your sisters or girlfriends. Or brothers and dudes too to be fair. Instead of just sitting around chatting, here's something fun and productive to do while spending some quality time as everyone's schedule permit! There's also the gratuitous yummy dessert afterwards.

There's a savory version, Bánh Ít Trần in which the dumplings are eaten with nuoc moun (fish dipping sauce), pickled radish and carrots, and scallioned oil instead of the coconut milk.
